While this disc was intended to be a more stable complement to the Volt, the vast majority players agree it is not. The Shock actually a straighter disc, similar to a Valkyrie with more glide and touch more fade. 

According to MVP Disc Sports:

The Shock is a more stable complement to the Volt. With a high power throw, it will hold a long straight line with less turn and immense glide followed by a late dependable fade.
